General description

Gel filtration markers kit contains five vials of proteins and 1 vial of blue dextran for calibration.

Application

Gel filtration markers are used in protein chromatography and gel filtration chromatography. Gel filtration markers have been used to study glucocorticoid-induced lymphocytolysis as a model system for apoptosis within the immune system. Gel filtration markers have also been used to isolate Polygonatum odoratum lectin, which showed remarkable anti-HSV-II activity towards Vero cells, cytotoxicity towards human melanoma A375 cells and induced apoptosis in a caspase-dependent manner.

Over the past fifteen years, antibiotic resistance in the Gram-positive opportunistic human pathogen Streptococcus pneumoniae has significantly increased. Clinical isolates from patients with community-acquired pneumonia or otitis media often display resistance to two or more antibiotics. Given the need for

In Corynebacterium glutamicum, the activity of aconitase is 2.5-4-fold higher on propionate, citrate, or acetate than on glucose. Here we show that this variation is caused by transcriptional regulation. In search for putative regulators, a gene (acnR) encoding a TetR-type
