Application
Fast black K salt has various applications as listed below-
- to stain enterochromaffin cells > as an indirect stain for periodate-generated tissue aldehyde groups
- as a visualization agent for amphetamines and cyanobacterial toxins following their separation by thin-layer chromatography
- for the staining of acid phosphatase activity in SDS-PAGE (sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis) and native-PAGE
- staining endopeptidase and leucine aminopeptidase activity
