Biochem/physiol Actions

Recombinant human soluble erythropoietin receptor binds erthropoietin with high affinity and is an erythropoietin antagonist.

Physical form

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 5% trehalose and 50 ug of bovine serum albumin per 1 ug of cytokine.

Analysis Note

The biological activity is measured by its ability to inhibit the recombinant human erythropoietin mediated cell proliferation of human TF1 cells.

We have established a novel cell line, designated as TF-1, from a patient with erythroleukemia, which showed complete growth dependency on granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) or on interleukin-3 (IL-3) and carried a homogeneous chromosomal abnormality (54X). Erythropoietin (EPO) also sustained
