7-Methoxycoumarin-4-acetyl-[Asn⁶⁷⁰,Leu⁶⁷¹]-Amyloid β has been used as a fluorogenic substrate to measure β-secretase activity.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Fluorescent peptide substrate containing the ′Swedish′ Lys-Met/Asn-Leu mutation of the amyloid presursor protein (APP) β-secretase cleavage site. May be used for assaying β-secretase-like activity of thimet oligopeptidase (TOP), EC 3.4.24.15.
