General description

Potassium phosphate monobasic (KH2PO4), also known as monopotassium phosphate(MKP), is a soluble salt. It serves as a source of phosphorus and potassium. KH2PO4 is an essential component of potassium phosphate buffer, which is utilized in aqueous two-phase systems (ATPS) that are often used in the purification of lipases.

Application

Potassium phosphate monobasic buffer has been used as a component of the mobile phase in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).

Biochem/physiol Actions

Potassium phosphate monobasic (MKP) is a commonly used buffering agent in biochemical and biological applications. It is used as a component of the buffer system in electrophoresis for the separation of biomolecules.

Features and Benefits

Assured high quality as it is tested according to both USP/NF and Ph. Eur. standards
