General description

Orientin is a flavone existing in a variety of plants and exhibits a broad-spectrum of pharmacological properties such as free-radical inhibition, antiviral, radioprotection, anti-oxidant and vasorelaxant property.

Application

Orientin may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in leaves of Cecropia species and biological samples using various chromatography techniques.
