General description

Application

Maximum Recovery Diluent (MDR) is a diluent for the preparation of stock suspensions and dilutions. It is a protective and isotonic medium used for maximal recovery of microorganisms from a variety of sources. The low concentration of peptone does not cause multiplication of the organisms within 1-2 hours of dilution of the sample.
MDR, also called Tryptone salt broth, is compliance with ISO standards 6887-1 to 5 for the preparation and dilutions of stock suspensions from most of food products.
