General description

N-formy peptide receptor 1 (also known as N-formylpeptide chemoattractant receptor or fMet-Leu-Phe receptor) & 2 (also known as RFP, FMLP-R-I, Lipoxin A4 receptor, LXA4 receptor, FMLP-related receptor I, Formyl peptide receptor-like 1) are multi-pass cell membrane G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) encoded by the FPR1 (also known as FPR and FMLP) and FPR2 (also known as FPR2 and FMLP-R-II) gene in human, respectively. The FPR1 gene encodes the high-affinity, and FPR2 the low-affinity, receptor for N-formyl-methionyl peptides (FMLP). Both receptors mediate FMLP-induced activation of neutrophils.

Specificity

This antibody is epitope mapped, recognizing cytoplasmic c-terminal tail residues of FPR1 (305-GQDFRERLI-313) and of FPR2 (306- GQDFRERLI-314) (Riesselman, M., et al. (2007). J. Immunol. 179:2520-2531).

Immunogen

Epitope: FPR1 (305-GQDFRERLI-313) and FPR2 (306- GQDFRERLI-314)
His-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to the FPR1 (305-GQDFRERLI-313) and FPR2 (306- GQDFRERLI-314) of human FPR1/2.

Application

Anti-FPR1/2 Antibody, clone NFPR1 is an antibody against FPR1/2 for use in Western Blotting, Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry, Immunoprecipitation.
Flow Cytometry Analysis: A representative lot detected FPR1/2 in human neutraphils (Riesselman, M., et al. (2007). J. Immunol. 179:2520-2531).
