General description

Gut hormones are a group of polypeptides secreted from the gastrointestinal tract. These peptide hormones play very important roles in the regulation of gut motility and secretion, pancreatic islet hormone secretion, appetite, and energy expenditure.

The MILLIPLEX® Canine Gut Hormone Panel is a 9-plex kit to be used for the simultaneous quantification of any or all of the following analytes in canine plasma, serum or tissue supernatants or tissue extraction samples: Amylin (total), Active Ghrelin, GIP, GLP-1, Glucagon, Insulin, Leptin, PP and PYY. This kit uses a 96-well format, contains a lyophilized standard cocktail, two internal assay quality controls and can measure up to 38 samples in duplicate.

The Luminex® xMAP® platform uses a magnetic bead immunoassay format for ideal speed and sensitivity to quantitate multiple analytes simultaneously, dramatically improving productivity while conserving valuable sample volume.

Panel Type: Metabolism

Specificity

Cross Reactivty
