General description

Protein G is a bacterial cell wall protein produced by G Streptococci that binds to immunoglobulin (IgG). It is a single polypeptide chain with minimal carbohydrate modifications. Native protein G consists of two IgG binding domains and binding sites for cell surface and albumin. The Amicon® Pro Affinity Concentration Kit - Protein G is developed for maximal binding and elution of Ig species.
