General description

Nuclear SET domain-containing protein 2 (NSD2) is also called Histone-lysine N-methyltransferase NSD2, Multiple myeloma SET domain-containing protein (MMSET), Protein trithorax-5 and Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome candidate 1 protein (WHSC1). NSD2 is a histone methyltransferase that acts on histone H3 ′Lys-27′ (H3K27me). Isoform RE-IIBP is thought to be a transcription regulator that uses HADC recruitment to binding DNA and suppress IL5 transcription. Chromosomal aberrations to WHSC1 are linked to multiple myeloma tumors.

Specificity

This antibody is expected to cross-react with isoforms 1 (152 kDa), 3 (71 kDa), and 4 (66 kDa, REII-BP; IL-5 promoter REII-region-binding protein) based upon immunogen design.

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to a region near the C-terminus of human NSD2.

Application

Detect NSD using this rabbit polyclonal antibody, Anti-NSD2 Antibody validated for use in western blotting, IHC & IP.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:500 dilution from a representative lot detected NSD2 in human cerebellum and thalamus tissues.

Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:50 dilution from a representative lot detected NSD2 in human kidney tissues.

Immunoprecipitation Analysis: 5 µg of this antibody immunoprecipitated NSD2 from 500 µg of HCT-116 cell lysate.
