General description

Hyperacid-labile ester protecting group [1]. Introduced under extremely mild conditions by reacting together the acid, trityl chloride and DIPEA in DCM. Ideal for the protection of the C-terminal carboxylic acid group of C-terminal protected peptide fragments, monoprotection of diacids and as a general carboxylic acid protecting group in organic synthesis.
