General description

Native lipase from Chromobacterium viscosum. Catalyzes hydrolysis of triglycerides to glycerol and fatty acids.
Native lipase from Chromobacterium viscosum. Catalyzes the hydrolysis of triglycerides to glycerol and fatty acids. Has a pI of 3.7 and 7.3.

Unit Definition

One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will release 1.0 µmol fatty acids from olive oil per min at 37°C, pH 8.0.

Reconstitution

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 3 months at -20°C.
Reconstitute in 100 mM potassium phosphate buffer, pH 8.0, containing 1 mg/ml BSA.
