General description

A cell-permeable, photo-stable nitric oxide (NO) fluorescent indicator with a detection limit of ~3 nM. Intracellularly releases DAF-FM (Cat. No. 251515) by the action of esterases. Reacts with NO, in the presence of O2, resulting in a triazolo-fluorescein analog (DAF-FM T) that exhibits about 160-fold greater fluorescence quantum efficiency. The fluorescence is reported to be stable above pH 5.8.

Physical form

A 5 mM solution in DMSO.

Reconstitution

Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze at (-20°C). Use immediately after dilution; discard any unused portion.
