General description

A Certified Spiking Solution® of D6-25-Hydroxyvitamin D3 (26,26,26,27,27,27-D6) in ethanol at a concentration of 50 μg/mL. This new internal standard is suitable for critical quantitative applications in research and clinical environments including for use in preparation of calibrators for LC/UV and LC-MS/MS assays and isotope dilution methods. The stable, quantitative solution format provides significant benefits to the user including material savings, increased efficiency of labor, and convenience of use. The shelf stable Snap-N-Spike® format allows laboratories to eliminate painstaking weighing operations and provides the ability to spike a known concentration of analyte into their matrix of choice just before use.

Application

D6-25-Hydroxyvitamin D3 has been used as an internal standard for the quantitation of 25-hydroxyvitamin D2/D3 in human serum by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry.

Improvement in LC/MS Analysis of Vitamin D Metabolites in Serum by Leveraging Column Selectivity and Effective Sample Prep

LC-MS/MS is a powerful tool that brings numerous benefits to the clinical sample analysis arena. However, due to the complexity of the instrumentation there are some unique challenges that also accompany these benefits. Even following sample extraction and cleanup, matrix effects from the samples can cause interferences or impact ionization efficiency.

Our team of scientists has experience in all areas of research including Life Science, Material Science, Chemical Synthesis, Chromatography, Analytical and many others.
