Features and Benefits

t-Boc-N-amido-dPEG®23-amine provides two amino groups — a tert-butyl carbamate protects one of the two amines — for reactions with aldehydes, ketones, and carboxylic acids and their active esters. The single molecular weight, discrete chain length polyethylene glycol (dPEG®) linker between the two reactive ends is 74 atoms long (86.5 Å). The tert-butyl-carbamate protecting group cleaves rapidly under mild conditions. t-Boc-N-amido-dPEG®23-amine is a monodisperse equivalent of polymer PEG1000. Because one end of this monodispersed PEG product is protected, the user has tighter control over crosslinking reactions.
