Application

2-(2-Chloroethoxy)ethanol was used in the synthesis of o-nitrophenylbromoacetaldehyde bis-2-(2-chloroethoxy)-ethyl acetal, quetiapine (an antipsychotic drug) and 2-(2-azidoethoxy)ethanol.
