General description

Oxysterol binding protein-like 7 belongs to subfamily III of the oxysterol-binding protein (OSBP, ORP) family of oxysterol binding proteins. ORP7 negatively regulates Golgi SNARE of 28kDa (GS28) protein stability via sequestration of GATE-16, and may mediate the effect of 25-OH on GS28 and Golgi function.

Application

Rabbit polyclonal anti-OSBPL7 antibody is used to tag oxysterol binding protein-like 7 for detection and quantitation by immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques. It is used as a probe to determine the presence and roles of oxysterol binding protein-like 7 in the regulation of Golgi SNARE of 28kDa (GS28) protein stability and Golgi function.
