Application

  • Determination of Delta(9)-tetrahydrocannabinol, 11-nor-carboxy-Delta(9)-tetrahydrocannabinol and cannabidiol in human plasma and urine after a commercial cannabidiol oil product intake.: This study uses Bis(trimethylsilyl)trifluoroacetamide (BSTFA) for derivatization in the analysis of cannabinoids in biological samples. The method enhances the detection sensitivity and accuracy, which is critical in forensic toxicology and clinical research (Papoutsis et al., 2024).

  • Simultaneous determination of 19 bromophenols by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) after derivatization.: BSTFA is utilized for the derivatization of bromophenols in environmental samples, enhancing the separation and detection of these compounds in GC-MS analysis. This method is crucial for monitoring environmental contaminants (Liu et al., 2024).
