General description

The MAS-100®portable air samplers can be used with commercially available contact plates. For MAS-100 NT® and MAS-100 Eco® instruments, the contact plate adapter allows the central positioning of contact plates on the plate holder to guarantee that all impact holes will be on the agar surface. For MAS-100 VF® instruments, no adapter is required for a 180-degree rotation and positioning of the three clamps is sufficient to fix the culture plate in the middle. The contact plate adapter comes with three blue hexagon socket screws and an Allen wrench for attachment to the plate holder. Due to the narrower diameter and greater height of the contact plates, a specially designed perforated lid, such as 1191490001, which fits to lockable and non-lockable ICR/ICRplus contact plates, is also required.

Application

Adapter for contact plates is an additional accessory for Air Sampler that is used for microbial monitoring of ambient air in controlled environments up to ISO 5 cleanrooms using contact plates instead of 90 mm settleplates. Microbial air sampling devices are extensively used in Pharmaceutical and Personal care industries as well as Food, Beverage and Environmental applications.
