Application

Arginine hydrochloride USP reference standard suitable for use in specified USP compendial quality tests and assays.

Also used to prepare standard and system suitability solution during the assay, impurity analysis, strength analysis and identification by using liquid chromatography coupled with UV detector according to the given below monographs of United States Pharmacopeia (USP): 
  • Arginine Hydrochloride Compounded Oral Solution
  • Arginine Tablets
  • Arginine Capsules

Biochem/physiol Actions

Substrate of nitric oxide synthase, which is converted to citrulline and nitric oxide (NO). Induces insulin release by a nitric oxide-dependent mechanism.
