General description

Solid phase extraction apparatus uses glass vials or tubes for sample collection and concentration. Some sorbents require large desorption volume than small SPE cartridges in such case SPE tubes were used. The barrels are compatible with most vacuum-manifold devices and allow accurate loading of samples.

Application

Supelclean LC-18 SPE Tube was used in SPE to purify primary prostaglandins PGE2 and PGF2α and their tissue metabolites.

The primary prostaglandins PGE(2) and PGF(2 alpha) are metabolized in tissues by a series of enzymatic and non-enzymatic reactions. To measure metabolic rates and individual reaction rates it is necessary to extract the parent prostaglandins and metabolites before the separation
