Application
Tergitol™ 15-S-7 has been used:
- To study the synergistic effect of Tergitol 15-S-7 and AOT (dioctyl sulfosuccinate) on bacterial oxidation of alkanes in crude oils
- In cloud-point extraction technique to extract polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons from aqueous solutions
- Along with MgSO4 in anolyte reservoir for electrokinetic experiments
- As a very efficient surfactant in removing non-polar oil
- To study the phase behavior of surfactant-brine–oil system, which is desired for enhanced oil recovery
Features and Benefits
- Excellent formulation & handling properties
- Superior wetting & rinseability
- Low odor
- Narrow gel range
