This lipid-soluble antioxidant is found in whole grains, nuts, and oils. It is known to scavenge reactive oxygen species by interacting with lipids during oxidative stress.

Application

α-Tocopherol acetate may be used as an EP reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by chromatography techniques.
