General description

Sabouraud Dextrose Agar + Chloramphenicol in 90 mm settle plate with 30 mL filling volume for long incubation is designed for the detection of yeasts and molds for air and personnel monitoring in less critical environments.
Sabouraud Dextrose Medium contains digests of animal tissues (peptones), which provide a nutritious source of amino acids and nitrogenous compounds for the growth of fungi and yeasts. Dextrose is the energy and carbon source. The low pH favors fungal growth and the addition of chloramphenicol inhibits the growth of the accompanying bacterial flora.

Application

Sabouraud Dextrose Agar + Chloramphenicol settle plate is designed for the detection of the total count of yeasts and molds in air and personnel of less critical environments.
