General description
Interleukin-10 (IL-10) is a pleotropic cytokine with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive functions. It is the key cytokine that regulates the host inflammatory responses to bacterial, fungal and viral pathogens. IL-10 is secreted by a variety of cells including T cells, B cells, dendritic cells, eosinophils, natural killer cells and mast cells. The effects of IL-10 are mediated by binding to the IL-10R, consisting of α and β subunits. The signalling through IL-10R activates Jak1, Tyk2 protein kinases and JAK/STAT3 pathways. IL-10R is involved in suppression of innate immunity to kill pathogens and inhibits the release of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species from activated macrophages. Regulation of IL-10R mediated signalling is important in infections, inflammatory responses in autoimmune encephalomyelitis, endotoxic shock and chronic enterocolitis
Monoclonal Anti-Interleukin-10 Receptor α (IL-10 Rα) recognizes human IL-10 Rα. The antibody does not cross-react with recombinant mouse IL-10 Ra.
Monoclonal Anti-Interleukin-10 Receptor α (IL-10 Rα) recognizes human IL-10 Rα. The antibody does not cross-react with recombinant mouse IL-10 Ra.
Specificity
The antibody has the ability to block cell surface human IL-10 Rα mediated bioactivity induced by recombinant human IL-10. The antibody does not cross-react with mouse IL-10 Rα.
Immunogen
purified recombinant human IL-10 soluble receptor α expressed in insect Sf 21 cells.
Application
Anti-interleukin-10 receptor α antibody is suitable for neutralization reactions (ND50 is 0.03-0.1 μg/ml).
Physical form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline with 5% trehalose.

Journal of interferon & cytokine research : the official journal of the International Society for Interferon and Cytokine Research, 30(3), 113-122 (2010-03-02)
Apoptosis and the rapid clearance of apoptotic cells (ACs) by professional or nonprofessional phagocytes are normal and coordinated processes that ensure controlled cell growth and stress response with nonpathological outcomes. Uptake of ACs by phagocytes is thought to suppress autoimmune
Immunologic research, 47(1-3), 185-206 (2010-01-21)
IL-10 plays an essential part in controlling inflammation and instructing adaptive immune responses. Consequently, dysregulation of IL-10 is linked with susceptibility to numerous infectious and autoimmune diseases in mouse models and in humans. It has become increasingly clear that appropriate

In the present study, we define the relation between TGF-beta and IL-10 in the regulation of the Th1-mediated inflammation occurring in trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS)-colitis. In initial studies, we showed that the feeding of trinitrophenol-haptenated colonic protein to SJL/J mice
Infection and immunity, 79(8), 2964-2973 (2011-05-18)
The generation of an effective immune response against an infection while also limiting tissue damage requires a delicate balance between pro- and anti-inflammatory responses. Interleukin-10 (IL-10) has potent immunosuppressive effects and is essential for regulation of immune responses. However, the
