Application
p-Aminobenzamidine Agarose (pABA) can be used as an affinity ligand to bind and remove serine proteases in addition to Ca2+-binding proteins. It has also been used in medical applications as a tool for the purification of non-protease proteins.

Membrane fusion in eukaryotic cells mediates the biogenesis of organelles, vesicular traffic between them, and exo- and endocytosis of important signalling molecules, such as hormones and neurotransmitters. Distinct tasks in intracellular membrane fusion have been assigned to conserved protein systems.
