General description

Biuret Method, reagent solution for approx. 250 determinations Proteins form a blue-violet complex in alkaline copper sulfate solution containing tartrate (Biuret reagent). The absorbance of the solution is normally measured at 546 nm. The protein concentration of the sample can be determined by calibrating with a protein standard solution.

Application

  • Success in treating wounds with local boric acid: a case study: Details a clinical case study where boric acid was successfully used to treat chronic wounds, showcasing its potential in medical applications (Coskun M, 2023).

  • Mechanical Force-Induced Color-Variable Luminescence of Carbon Dots in Boric Acid Matrix: Demonstrates the use of boric acid matrices to develop pressure-sensitive luminescent materials with potential applications in sensing and display technologies (Meng S et al., 2023).

  • Insight into boron-doped biochar as efficient metal-free catalyst for peroxymonosulfate activation: Investigates boric acid′s role in enhancing the catalytic properties of boron-doped biochar for environmental cleanup and pollutant degradation (Pan G et al., 2023).
