General description

Paroxetine, marketed under trade names Paxil® and Aropax, is an SSRI antidepressant used to treat many conditions in adults from major depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder to several anxiety disorders. This stable-labeled internal standard is suitable for quantification of paroxetine using LC/MS or LC-MS/MS methods for applications in clinical or diagnostic testing, clinical toxicology, or pharmaceutical research.

Application

  • Paroxetine-D₆ maleate solution in analytical chemistry: Although not directly studying Paroxetine-D₆ maleate, recent advancements in the synthesis and characterization of pharmaceutical hydrogels, including maleate components, underscore the growing interest in developing delivery systems for complex drug molecules, which could potentially apply to Paroxetine-D₆ maleate solutions in future research (Akkaya and Akkaya, 2024).

  • Application in photocatalytic degradation: Research on nanostructures incorporating maleate indicates a broader applicative potential for substances like Paroxetine-D₆ maleate in enhancing photocatalytic degradation processes, which could be relevant for environmental cleanup and drug residue management in water systems (Sobhani and Alinavaz, 2023).

  • Maleic acid-functionalized materials in drug delivery: The use of maleic acid-functionalized boron nitride nanosheets in creating mechanically robust, transparent, and UV-shielding composites presents a unique opportunity to explore similar applications using Paroxetine-D₆ maleate solution, particularly in creating innovative drug delivery platforms (Elo et al., 2024).
