Features and Benefits

MAL-dPEG24-Tris (-dPEG24-Tris (m-dPEG24)3)3 is a sulfhydryl-reactive, multibranched, monodispersed PEG product. The product is built around tris. One arm terminates in a maleimide group that reacts selectively with free thiols in a click chemistry type of reaction. Nine branches terminate in methyl groups. The molecular weight of the product is 15,592 Daltons. The amphiphilic PEG imparts tremendous water solubility to conjugate molecules and expands their hydrodynamic volume sufficiently to eliminate the renal clearance of the conjugates. The end-to-end length of the dPEG spacer from the maleimido olefin to the terminal methyl group on each branch is 245 atoms, with an average distance of 171.2 Å.
