General description

N,N-Bis(trimethylsilyl)methylamine is a silylating agent used to prepare TMS derivatives. It has about the same silylation potential as hexamethyldisilazane (HMDS) and can be used in the same manner. Its reaction by-product is the gaseous methylamine.
