General description

Method: photometric 0.05 - 2.00 mg/l MBAS Spectroquant®
The method is analogous to EPA 425.1, APHA 5540 C, ASTM 2330-02, ISO 7875-1, and DIN EN 903.
This Spectroquant® Surfactants (anionic) Cell Test allows the determination anionic surfactants (hydrophilic end carries a negative charge) in water samples. Surfactants are additives that lower the surface tension of water such as foaming agents, emulsifiers, and detergents. Most surfactants enter the waterways as part of household waste or have their origin in industrial processes and often facilitate the introduction of other contaminates. Enhanced levels of surfactants might cause a hazard for plants, animals, and humans.
The Spectroquant® Cell Tests come with prefilled 16 mm round cells and all the required reagents to perform the analysis according to the instruction leaflet provided.
All Spectroquant® Cell and Reagent Test Kits are equipped with the unique Live ID (2D barcode) which allows seamless method recognition and contains essential information such as lot number, expiry date, and automatic calibration updates.
