Biochem/physiol Actions

Cinobufagin is a bufanolide steroid with anti-proliferative and pro-apoptotic effects as well as antinociception activity. It has been used in Chinese herbal medicine and has been shown to have clinical applications in a variety of cancers both as an anticancer agent and to reduce cancer pain. Cinobufagin was recently identified as novel expression-mimicker that exert in vitro as well as in vivo anti-AML efficacy against AML expressing mtRUNX1.
