General description

Anti-MITF Antibody detects endogenous levels of total MITF protein.
Anti-MITF Antibody detects endogenous levels of total MITF protein. MITF (microphthalmia-associated transcription factor) is a basic helix-loop-helix, leucine-zipper transcription factor. It is located on human chromosome 3p13.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human MITF.

Immunogen Range: 151-200

Biochem/physiol Actions

MITF (microphthalmia-associated transcription factor) participates in the growth and differentiation of melanocytes. Mutations in MITF results in waardenburg syndrome type IIa.
