Gene Information

human ... BCL2(596)

General description

BCL2 is an apoptotic inhibitor that suppresses lipid peroxidation. Rabbit Anti-BCL2 antibody binds to human BCL2.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human BCL2

Application

Rabbit Anti-BCL2 antibody can be used for immunohistochemistry (4-8μg/ml, using paraffin embedded tissues) and western blot (1.0μg/ml) assays.
Western blot analysis was performed on NK-cell lymphoma and Leukemia cell lysates using rabbit anti-BCL2 antibody.

Sequence

Synthetic peptide located within the following region: GHTPHPAASRDPVARTSPLQTPAAPGAAAGPALSPVPPVVHLTLRQAGDD

Physical form

Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.

Bcl-2 inhibits most types of apoptotic cell death, implying a common mechanism of lethality. Bcl-2 is localized to intracellular sites of oxygen free radical generation including mitochondria, endoplasmic reticula, and nuclear membranes. When Swiss 3T3 fibroblasts were exposed to bisphenol A (BPA) or nonylphenol (NP) within a range of 0.1-100 nM for 30-45 days, increased resistance to oxidative injury was found. Western blot analysis indicated concomitant increased expression of bcl-2 protein and reduced

Tubular epithelial cell apoptosis contributes to tubulointerstitial fibrosis but its regulation remains unclear. Here, in fibrotic kidney induced by unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO), we demonstrate that miR-34a is markedly upregulated in tubulointerstitial spaces and microvesicles isolated from obstructed kidney. However

We report herein characteristic studies of Mcl-1 and Bcl-2 dual inhibitors. It was found that a protruding carbonyl group forming hydrogen bond with R263 plays a predominant role compared with the hydrophobic group that occupies the p2 pocket. A series

To investigate the efficacy and mechanisms of non-c-Myc induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) transplantation in a rat model of retinal oxidative damage. Paraquat was intravitreously injected into Sprague-Dawley rats. After non-c-Myc iPSC transplantation, retinal function was evaluated by electroretinograms (ERGs).
