General description

The CellASIC® Microfludic single cell isolation chips are microfluidic chips that enable rapid, damage-free isolation of single cells. These devices are less time-consuming and more efficient when compared to limiting dilution (the most common method for single-cell isolation). These devices require no additional instrumentation; they can be loaded with standard pipettes and assayed for single cells using simple microscopy. They require minimal cell numbers and yield single cells in small sample volumes, both attributes are favorable for single cell cloning and genetic/RNA analysis.
