Human alpha3 integrin (CD49c)

Immunogen

Human squamous cell carcinoma cells (SCC9)

Application

Inhibition (Functional Activity): A previous lot of this antibody was shown to inhibit cell attachment by inhibiting SCC9 cell adhesion to human and EHS laminin, and laminin GD-2 peptide and potentiates the inhibition of SKOV-3 cell adhesion to EHS laminin by anti-integrin alpha 5 antibody GoH3. This antibody does not inhibit cell adhesion to fibronectin or collagen type IV.

Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A previous lot of this antibody was used on acetone-fixed frozen human epithelial tissues including tongue, foreskin and ovary. Not for use on formalin-fixed tissue.

Flow Cytometry Analysis: A previous lot of this antibody stains human squamous cell carcinoma (SCC9), ovarian carcinoma (SKOV-3) and umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC).

Immunoprecipitation Analysis: A previous lot of this antibody precipitates PAGE bands of 130 kDa (reduced) or 116 kDa and 135 kDa (non-reduced) from surface-biotinylated SCC9 or SKOV-3 cells.
Anti-Integrin α3 Antibody, clone ASC-1 (Azide Free) inhibits cell attachment & detects level of Integrin α3 & has been published & validated for use in FC, IP, IH, Inhibition Assays.
