General description

Vitamin K2 (MK-4) or menaquinone-4 is an essential cofactor for enzymes that activate blood-clotting factors as well as vitamin K-dependent (VKD) proteins involved in bone metabolism, arterial calcification, growth control, and signal transduction.

Application

This certified solution standard is suitable for use as starting material in the preparation of linearity standards, calibrators, or controls in LC-MS/MS vitamin K2 testing applications such as assessment of vitamin K2 deficiency and research of VKD proteins.
Vitamin K2 (MK-4) also known as menaquinone may be used as a certified reference material (CRM) for the determination of the analyte in biological and animal products by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method.
