Gene Information

General description

Dextromethorphan is an opiate analgesic sold as an antitussive under trade names such as Robitussin®, NyQuil®, or Dimetapp®. Also known as DXM, the drug is used recreationally as a hallucinogen with effects similar to ketamine and phencyclidine (PCP). This Certified Snap-N-Spike® Solution is suitable for use as starting material in calibrators or controls for a variety of LC/MS or GC/MS applications from forensic analysis and clinical toxicology to P450 trials and pharmaceutical research.

Application

  • Voriconazole-D3 isotopic label: It is used to develop a method for the simultaneous determination of voriconazole and its metabolite, voriconazole N-oxide, in human urine using liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry. This study highlights the application of voriconazole-D3 as a stable isotope-labeled internal standard, crucial for accurate quantification and monitoring of drug metabolism in clinical pharmacokinetic studies (Yu et al., 2022).
