General description

Cy®7 Bis NHS Ester or N-hydroxysuccinimide ester is a commercially available fluorescent label. The two reactive groups present on each dye molecule enable the labeling of the molecules. NHS esters react with nucleophiles to release the NHS or sulfo-NHS group to create stable amide and imide bonds.

Application

Cy®7 Bis NHS Ester is used for HTS (High Throughput Screening) experiments.

It is a preferred fluorescent label for site-specific RNA labeling. The spectrophotometric assays using NHS esters are used to measure the active esters on carriers and the subsequent interaction with amines during peptide synthesis.
