General description

In (acac)3 is the indium complex of acetylacetone. Metal acetylacetonates exhibit high sensitivity to oxidizing gases.

Application

In (acac)3 is used as a precursor for the synthesis of In2O3. Indium(III) acetylacetonate acts as a catalyst in the synthesis of oxindole derivatives. In (acac)3 were studied to be used as gas sensors. It is used in the synthesis of indium tin oxide nanocrystals (ITO). Thin-film solar cells are synthesized with atomic layer chemical vapor deposition using In (acac)3 and H2S.
