General description

Our battery grade sodium triflate solution in bis(2-methoxyethyl) ether (diglyme) is a clear solution containing 1.0 M sodium triflate dissolved in diglyme. To perform optimally in battery applications, we strictly minimize impurities including low moisture, low trace metals, low chloride, and low sulfate.
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency. Click here for more information.

Application

Our 1.0 M NaTfO in diglyme, battery grade is an electrolyte designed for use in sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) and sodium superoxide (NaO2) batteries.[1,2] Studies have found that diglyme-based electrolytes can be used in sodium-ion batteries with graphite anode by overcoming the lack of suitable binary intercalation compounds in Na-C system.[3] Ether based electrolytes have the ability to trigger the highly reversible co-intercalation of sodium ions with an ether solvent into graphite, and form a stable solid electrolyte interphase (SEI).[4]
