Triethylaluminumsolution (triethylaluminum in toluene solution), is commonly used as a catalyst in organic synthesis.

Application

Triethylaluminum solution is used as a catalyst in the preparation of (2-chloroethyl)oxirane,(3-chloropropyl)oxirane, and (4-chlorobutyl)oxirane from the corresponding alkenols.
