General description

Thymidine 5′-triphosphate sodium salt solution is used in DNA synthesis reactions such as PCR, DNA sequencing, cDNA synthesis and molecular cloning techniques.

Application

Thymidine 5′-triphosphate sodium salt solution has been used as a component of the:
  • heat-sensitive solution for the preparation of a chemically defined diet that supports both larval development and adult survival of Drosophila
  • dNTP mix for reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) amplification
  • PCR for genomic DNA amplification by amplification refractory mutation system (ARMS) PCR

Rewired metabolism of glutamine in cancer has been well documented, but less is known about other amino acids such as histidine. Here, we use Drosophila cancer models to show that decreasing the concentration of histidine in the diet strongly inhibits
