General description

11-nor-9-Hydroxy-delta8-THC, is a metabolite of delta8-THC found in urine or blood of cannabis users. This certified reference solution is suitable as starting materials in the preparation of calibrators and controls for THC testing by GC/MS or LC/MS in forensic analysis, urine drug testing, or clinical toxicology.

Application

  • Delta-8-THC research chemical: Study explores selective ligands for cannabinoid receptors, indicating the potential of (-)-11-Hydroxy-delta8-THC as a research chemical in cannabinoid pharmacology, highlighting its specificity for CB2 receptors (Huffman, 2000).

  • 11-hydroxy-THC solution: The competitive inhibition of delta8-THC and its metabolites on cannabinoid receptor binding, showcasing the relevance of (-)-11-Hydroxy-delta8-THC solutions in studying receptor interactions and cannabinoid dynamics (Yamamoto et al., 1998).

  • Synthetic cannabinoids for research: Selective ligands for cannabinoid receptors includes derivatives of delta8-THC, reinforcing the role of synthetic cannabinoids like (-)-11-Hydroxy-delta8-THC in neuroscientific and pharmacological research (Huffman et al., 1999).

  • Bioactive THC analogs: Study investigated the differential blockade of the antinociceptive effects of cannabinoids, including delta8-THC analogs, demonstrating the pharmacological applications of (-)-11-Hydroxy-delta8-THC in pain modulation studies (Welch et al., 1998).

  • Elemental analysis reagent: The identification of metabolites like 11-oxo-delta8-THC in mouse brain and liver by Watanabe et al., using analytical standards such as (-)-11-Hydroxy-delta8-THC, underpins its utility in detailed metabolic profiling, essential for understanding cannabinoid metabolism (Watanabe et al., 1980).
