General description

Our cobalt iron oxide nanoparticles are magnetic CoFe2O4 nanoparticles with an average particle size of 8 nm dispersed in a 1wt% concentration in an aqueous solution. They boast a specific magnetization of >40 emu/g.

Application

Cobalt iron oxide nanoparticles are used in many applications because of their unique electrical, magnetic, and catalytic properties coupled with high biocompatibility. Magnetic nanoferrite particles been studied for important applications in biomedical research such as magnetic resonance imaging, targeted magnetic drug delivery, cell separation, and magnetic hyperthermia Cobalt iron oxide nanoparticles can also serve as catalysts in various chemical reactions due to their high surface area and unique electronic properties. For example, they have been investigated for applications in catalytic reactions, including water splitting, carbon dioxide reduction, and organic synthesis
