Description générale
These columns offer an outstanding stability from pH 1.5 to 10.5 over a wide temperature range, and suitability for up to 100% aqueous mobile phases. Plus, they demonstrate best all-round retention characteristics, as proven by the Tanaka test.
Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped, 5 µm LiChroCART® 100-3 is a cartridge column which requires a manuCART™ cartridge column holder part number 1.51486.0001. The manuCART™ can be used to hold one cartridge column with or without direct integration of a 4-4 mm guard column. The recommended guard column is Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped (5 µm) LiChroCART® 4-4 part number 1.50250.0001.
LiChroCART® cartridge columns mounted with a manuCART™ cartridge column holder are hand-tight only and have therefore a maximum pressure stability of 250 bar. For higher pressure stability requirements Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped, 5 µm Hibar® RT 100-3 HPLC columns are available part number 1.150612.0001.
The column dimension of 100 mm length x 3 mm I.D. is the optimal choice for HPLC separation of complex samples at lower flow rate, allowing significant solvent savings and improved sensitivity. A 3 mm I.D. column enables a more sustainable separations in comparison to 4 or 4.6 mm I.D. column due to the use of less solvent for the chromatographic separation.
