General description

This substance is a primary reference substance with assigned absolute purity (considering chromatographic purity, water, residual solvents, inorganic impurities). The exact value can be found on the certificate. Produced by PhytoLab GmbH & Co. KG.

This reference substance is the naturally occurring mixture of 7alpha-morroniside (CAS # 61849-88-5) and 7beta-morroniside (CAS # 25406-64-8). At this moment there is no CAS # available for the diastereomeric mixture. The two diastereomers cannot be separated chromatographically on regular columns. The 13C-NMR data, however, confirms the presence of both diastereomes in similar ratios.

Other Notes

This compound is commonly found in plants of the genus: sambucus
