General description

Para-nitrophenyl phosphate (pNPP) is a chromogenic substrate for most phosphatases such as alkaline phosphatases, acid phosphatases, protein tyrosine phosphatases and serine/threonine phosphatases. The reaction yields para-nitrophenol, which becomes an intense yellow soluble product under alkaline conditions and can be conveniently measured at A405 nm on a spectrophotometer.

Application

The pNPP Phosphatase Assay Kit may be used for:
  • Metabolism Research
  • Cardiovascular Research
  • Neurodegenerative Research

Features and Benefits

Simplified Process: Enjoy a hassle-free procedure that can be completed within 30 minutes without wash or reagent transfer steps, saving you time and effort.

Compatibility with High-Throughput Systems: Easily incorporate our kit into high-throughput handling systems, ensuring smooth and accurate processing, enhancing efficiency in your laboratory workflow.

Suitability

The kit is suitable for the quantitative determination of phosphatase activity of protein phosphatases.

Principle

The pNPP Phosphatase Assay kit involves adding a single reagent to the phosphatase and measuring the product formation on an absorbance reader. The assay can be conveniently performed in cuvettes, tubes or multi-well plates at either room temperature or 37 °C.
