General description
Polyvinylpyrrolidone or PVP is commonly used surfactant or detergent that is nonionic and highly soluble. Ideal for solubilizing and stabilizing proteins, enzymes, and other biomolecules. Ideal for isolation, purification, and characterization. PVP can also be used as a stabilizer to prevent the aggregation or denaturation of proteins during experimental procedures. Its mild nonionic nature and high solubility make it a favorable choice in research applications.
